Quite apart from their striking look, the LED High Performance headlamps offer greater safety at night.LED technology illuminates the roadway ahead better than conventional headlamps – using less energy and lasting significantly longer. With their new, very independent design, the headlamps highlight the sporty character of the vehicle from every perspective.
Greater safety after dark.
Adaptive Highbeam Assist adjusts the headlamp range to suit the traffic situation, and does not dazzle oncoming traffic.
A multifunction camera on the overhead control unit is used to control headlamp range adjustment and the main beams in such a way that the road receives the best possible illumination in line with the current traffic situation.
In addition to the automatic main beam control and an adaptive headlamp range adjustment in the low-beam headlamp area, a part of the main beam cone is cut out when there are vehicles in oncoming traffic or ahead. The edge of the carriageway is illuminated by the high beams without dazzling other road users. To keep drivers from dazzling themselves, Adaptive Highbeam Assist dims the high beams in case of highly reflective signs. The system makes driving at night safer and is a factor in reducing strain on the driver.
